Letting Go – Going Deep: Float Tank ‘Trip Report’

This is an impromptu float tank psilocybin trip report I shot on my phone a few weeks ago … I hadn’t initially planned to make a video on this experience, as I sometimes find it distracts me from fully surrendering if I have it in the back of my mind that I’ll be sharing it (which is why I came to the conclusion I did in this video). However, I did decide to post this, as I do want to share these different realizations on my journey:

Like I’ve said before, these videos are not about me “teaching” others anything but are more about just sharing my own experience and self-discovery. It seems that by sharing my actual experiences (vs trying to prove something or “edit” my life to fit expectations), others can relate and make helpful connections within their own life experience.

Also, by ‘owning’ my own experiences and not trying to make it about showing other people what “to do”, I find I can integrate the experience much more fully… which ultimately helps me be of better service to others as well.

I noticed during this float I had a familiar resistance to letting go into the moment, as my ego continued to attempt to have me “remember” my realizations for later, or “make a mental note” of what to share with others, or to try to analyze how I achieved the state of heightened awareness and release I experienced.

I had to almost bargain with my ego identity somewhat before I could convince myself that it was OK to totally let go… that I wouldn’t “forget” anything important, and that there was nothing to figure out, (not for the intellectual mind at least) … when I let go I realize my higher self already knows. I had to learn to surrender and “trust the process”.

Btw I played with the vid footage a little to try to share the feeling of getting into the float tank. I wanted to try to bring the viewer into the trip with me somewhat, but it’s really something you’ve got to experience yourself if you haven’t yet.
Enjoy!
